The book of Hebrews was likely written to a group of Jewish believers who were facing persecution. The author begins by establishing that Jesus is superior to the angels, and superior to Moses. He then goes on to show that Jesus is our high priest, diamonds rings for cheap who is able to empathize with our weaknesses because he himself was temptation. The author exhorts the readers to remain faithful, even in the face of persecution, because Jesus is faithful and will never leave us or forsake us.
