JANUARY

This past month has been a full one!  On January 6th , I celebrated a full year on the ground here in Nation.  Overall, this year has flown by, but I must admit there have been many long days…language, transition, loneliness, and missing friends and family.  As always the Father has been faithful through it all.  He has called me back to a central place every time and reminded me of His plans for me.

At the beginning of this month, I was in Spain for a meeting all our company’s workers in Continent.  We met together for fellowship, collaboration, purpose, encouragement, and unity.  The time was a gift!  I got to see many old friends and make new ones, whom all are serving in different parts of our continent.  Hearing the stories of the Father at work among all the peoples of Continent was overwhelming and turned me back to praise every time.  We spent much time in w0rship and teaching.  These times meant so much to me as I lifted my hands with fellow believers in a common language.  Many of the songs we sang were ones that have I sang by myself from very high places and very low places over the past year.  What a great opportunity to sing them out in victory to the Father as He has carried me through them all!  I will put one of my favorite songs at the bottom of this letter.  I hope it encourages you today as well.

After my meeting in Spain I took a vacation to Israel to visit some friends.  The once in a lifetime experience was more than I could have ever imagined.  I got to see so many sights from the Word.  Everywhere I went was overwhelming as I thought of the King who humbled himself to become the sacrifice for my sin, all our sin, so that we can have a restored relationship with Him.

I have now returned home and I have hit the ground running.  I am currently preparing for a language test, which will take place at the end of February.  Also, I am continuing to take the next steps for the hopeful new ch plant in a neighborhood of our city.  I have also began a seminary class, which I am already enjoying immensely.  As always your pryers to the Father are carrying me through all of my days and I thank you so much for your requests.  I hope that the new year has started well for each and every one of you!

  • Ask for wisdom as we pry through strategy for this new work
  • Ask for openness among the people of this neighborhood, who will hear the Good News
  • Ask for believers to have an intense desire to share with this neighborhood
